Mobile Communications Systems

The technological evolution of digital communications, associated with the appropriate specification of systems that meet the market needs, led to the exponential growth of the mobile communications market, as we knew it. The standardisation evolution, was also accompanied by engineers from INOV in the form of development projects.

The bet in wireless communications is fundamental for the maintenance of knowledge at INOV.

Of the several activities in this field resulted products and systems of which stand out a DECT/ISDN Base Station, a DECT PCCARD, a WebBrowser DECT and a Bluetooth-ISDN Base Station.

The evolution of wireless networks is followed by engineers at INOV, with the last developments being made in Bluetooth and 802.11b, with the development of prototype demonstrators of the technology.

At INOV we study the possibilities of application of the same technologies together with the entrepreneurial partners or investors that intend to participate in the release of innovative products and services.

With the purpose of sustaining a constant updating of knowledge, INOV is looking for participating in European projects in the domain of high debit Wireless-Lans.
