Navigation Systems, just like Telecommunications Systems, are decisive associated to the so called new economy. The rationalisation of the transport processes has been contributing strongly to the decrease of the distances among the several markets, which are becoming more and more global.

Navigation Systems, and the respective Management Systems, play a growing part in the whole Marine, Aerial and Terrestrial logistics of Transports, at the same time contributing to a better use of the existing road networks and transport resources.

INOV, in the sense of accompanying the evolution of systems associated to transport, has been developing navigation systems for the terrestrial and maritime segments.

INOV has been accomplishing experiences and consulting actions in the area of virtual tolls and systems for automatic payment.

INOV is also participating in projects for the next generation of Satellite Navigation Systems, namely the European EGNOS and GALILEO projects for the European Space Agency (ESA).
