Premises and Equipment |
In recent years INOV made significant
investment in computer and laboratory equipment. In particular,
the activity in the area of informatics is supported by a
constantly updating pool of about 200 client machines and
25 servers, which is maintained all the time by 3 technicians.
As to the laboratories, two major equipment parks can be mentioned:
One of conventional equipment that includes (but not limited
to) the spectrum analyzers, logic analyzer, a stock of narrowband
(20MHz) and wideband (over 100 MHz) oscilloscopes, multimeters,
several measuring devices (rangefinders, thermometers, thermo-hygrometers,
data loggers, etc.). Less conventional equipment includes
internally developed infrastructure for testing environmental
and electromagnetic compatibility (pre-certification) testing
with the accuracy meeting the European standards in the area.
The laboratories are served by 5 technicians available for
installation, maintenance, assembly and other technical support.
Characterising special zones dedicated to operational and
functional R&D activities, the following common laboratory
premises should be mentioned:
|
Development
Laboratories: the whole development activity
and subsequent maintenance. These premises are provided with
a wide range of supporting equipment, including components
(electronic and conventional SMD, wires, cables, connectors,
bolts, and so on), diverse tools, gauges and electronic devices
(power supplies, function generators, multimeters, oscilloscopes,
analyzers and programming hardware).

Workshop:
This space is more connected to the mechanical works
and PCI manufacturing. It is equipped with some mechanical
tools (driller, drills, grinder, angle grinder, etc.). The
room also has all the material and equipment for manufacture
of circuit boards from copper substrates (guillotine, drying
oven, UV cabinet, sink and all the supporting stuff).
|
Testing
facilities: a special room was designated
to support the tests on robustness of the developed equipment,
including environmental and electromagnetic compatibility.
The facilities include an oven (for testing of temperature
and humidity), a bathtub with shower and closed water circulation
and UV lamps (for tests on water and solar radiation resistance).
