Development of a mobile station prototype for terrestrial transmission of voice and data via the INMARSAT satellite network, with special emphasis on the implementation of the microwave technology. The Inmarsat-M project was funded by the national programme STRIDE. INESC/INOV was a part of the consortium that included CPRM-Marconi, IST (Instituto Superior Técnico) and EID.
