This project was developed for Portugal Telecom. It integrates 3 systems, SVIT I, II and III. The first allows synthesising a phone number from the name provided; the second generates the owner name and address from a number given by the client and the third allows obtaining the name and address from a phone number entered by the client via the of the phone keypad (completely automatic service).

It was necessary to integrate the service with the SIEMENS EWSD Central Switch that communicates with IVRs through a proprietary protocol over User-User Information, connecting 240 channels of SVIT I/II, and 60 of SVIT III. The connection to the database of 118 is made through an expandable proprietary protocol.

The system served more than 200000 calls per day using various synthesis algorithms. We developed dedicated algorithms especially suited for natural synthesis of phone numbers.
