The Project UbiSec&Sens (Ubiquitous Sensing and Security in the European Homeland) of the IST (Information Society Technologies) Programme (a part of the 6th EU Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development) started in January 2006. Its duration is 36 months. The project aims to define, design and implement a demonstrator of a wireless sensor network (WSN) with integrated security mechanisms. Participants of the project are: EURESCOM (Germany), RWTH Aachen (Germany), INRIA (France), IHP Microelectronics (Germany), INESC Inovação (Portugal), Budapest University of Technology and Economics (Bulgaria), Ruhr University Bochum (Germany), NEC Network Development Laboratories (UK).
