Within the scope of the European project FUSE (First User on Microelectronics), INESC/INOV represented a node of the European technology transfer network (TTN). INESC/INOV responsibility was realisation of consulting actions and close cooperation with SMEs in the whole Portugal area in concerted actions with the other partners of the Network.

One of the success examples in this project was the introduction of a new controller, designed and developed at INESC/INOV in accordance with customer's specifications, in a novel microwave oven marketed by TEKA-Portugal.
