The project WWTreat Waste
Water (Waste Water Treatment Improvement and Efficiency in
Small Communities), is a part of the Programme LIFE of the
European Commission. Being developed in the area of environment
protection, it aims to achieve monitoring and control of the
whole process of treating waste water, making the process
more efficient, to solve the problems of RWTS (Residual Water
Treatment Station) maintenance and operation, and to provide
decision-support resources for the control centre by introduction
of electronic information systems at the RWTS and MWSS (Municipal
Water and Sanitation Services) structural levels. The pilot
project will be implemented in three RWTS in the Sintra district
under coordination of MWSS of Sintra.
