This project was carried out within the scope of the forest-fire fighting initiative proposed by the association of private enterprises COTEC Portugal, INOV being responsible for the global project "Forest surveillance, fire detection, alarming and support of the fire combat systems". This project resulted in three pilot installations of electronic surveillance systems. INOV was responsible for all technological solutions and developments.
