Early Trials Project

In the framework of the EGNOS Program, the European Space Agency opened a tender for the project "Early Trials".

The objective was to simulate, analyse and verify the exact parameters for the EGNOS system during the experimental operation in the ESTB (EGNOS System Test Bed) mode.

INOV, together with GMV-Spain, participated in the project with the following objectives:

Analyse the tools to be used, in particular for post-processing of data, statistics and graphical analysis.
GMV support in the choice of the OSS station.
Development of tools for post-processing, statistics and graphical analysis.
Design and specification of the analysis tools.
Analysis and test of the developments.
"Early Trials" tests and simulations for identification of transmission rhythms, latency, availability, continuity and other system parameters.
Data analysis and final report, supported by the simulations developed for the tests and development tools implemented and tested within the scope of the project.
