The project GAMMA — Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) for Airport Movements Monitoring and Alerting, — developed for the European Aerospace Agency, started in January 2004 and lasted for 16 months with the objective to set, implement and test a system for vehicle tracking and monitoring at airports. The role of INOV was to develop a private network (UHF radio network for communication between vehicles and the operational centre) and to support the specification and implementation of the demonstrator in the airport of Porto (ASC-Sá Carneiro Airport).
