COOPERS (Co-operative Networks for Intelligent Road Safety) is one of the Integrated Projects (IP) of the European Commission.

The main objective of the project is to develop, demonstrate and implement cooperative systems that make the road safer, more predictable and controllable with respect to the driver behaviour. To achieve this objective, the cooperative system under development uses communication technologies to provide information to the infrastructure, tactical centres for traffic control, and vehicles.
