The approval of the national project SAFEDRIVE, funded by the Agency for Innovation, permitted to develop in 2007 a new system that shares the AIRNET philosophy, but has more efficient architecture and possesses characteristics of reliability and scalability appropriate for actual installation in small and medium-size airports, in Portugal and other international airports.
