Telematics and Transportation |
Just as telecommunications, the
navigation systems play a decisive role within the scope of
so-called new economy. Optimisation of the transport processes
contributes strongly to the decrease of the effective distances
among different markets, which are becoming more and more
global.
The importance of navigation systems and respective management
systems is growing in the whole marine, aerial and terrestrial
transportation logistics, at the same time contributing to
better use of the existing road networks and transport resources.
Accompanying the evolution of systems associated to transport,
INOV has been developing navigation systems for the terrestrial
and maritime segments.
INOV carries out experiences and consulting actions in the
area of virtual tolls and systems for automatic payment.
INOV is also participating in projects for the next generation
of Satellite Navigation Systems, namely, the European EGNOS
and GALILEO projects for the European Space Agency (ESA).

New Technologies for
the Aerospace Sector |
The accumulated
experience of participation in engineering projects with international
partners as well as coordination and administration of the
R&D activity in consortium, allows INOV to participate
in large development projects.
INOV has at its disposal a number of technological components
for telecommunications, electronics and software development,
in accordance with the most demanding requirements of the
space-exploration sector, for construction of products, services
or applications.
INOV has been participating in engineering projects for the
European Space Agency (ESA), strengthening the capacity of
Portugal for technological accompaniment of future space-oriented
markets.
The results of the several ESA projects also manifest themselves
in the form of improvement of the INOV solutions in other
domains, such as the area of Navigation and Fleet Management,
contributing to strengthening of the national industry.
INOV is presently participating in the EGNOS and GALILEO programs
of the ESA (European Space Agency). |
