Project no. PL95-00010 of the Transports Program of DGVII, of the CEC 4th Framework Programme aimed to develop an automatic information system, harnessing the communications infrastructure of the present VTS systems and complementing them. Its final clients are ships approaching a port. The role of INESC/INOV was centred in the voice-database definition and system integration. The other partners were PAGE IBÉRICA, FIAT-CIEI, SEPA, KNOWLEDGE and SASEMAR.
