DOGANA

back

The vast majority of today's security breaches include the human factor as a significant component of the attack strategy, recurring to the social engineering techniques.

As such, the SVA (Social Vulnerability Assessment) component is now an integral part of security audits and tests, particularly in performing the penetration tests. However, it requires specialized resources that are not always available to an ordinary company or organization.

Launched in September 2015 and being funded by the European Commission through the Horizon 2020 Programme, the DOGANA project aims to draw public attention to the risks associated with social engineering attacks. It is also going to provide a set of tools and procedures, within the proper legal framework, that can be used to perform social engineering audits ― scaled in such a manner that organizations can efficiently evaluate the risks to which they are really exposed.

INOV contributes to the project in many ways, including the development of tools for audit implementation and monitoring.
