The ESA development project VBBS aimed to provide to various authorities (police, governments, transport companies, etc.) a tool to monitor and control most of the activities carried out by vehicles.
The project delivered a demonstrator in the form of a black box for vehicles reporting through a short-range dedicated 802.11a wireless communication line.
