INOV will host the next consortium meeting of the European project BRIGHTER, taking place in Nazaré and bringing together European industry and research partners in the fields of electronics, sensing technologies, and intelligent systems.
Co-funded by the Horizon Europe programme, BRIGHTER aims to develop new classes of microbolometer sensors for infrared imaging, delivering faster performance and multispectral capabilities, while reducing the performance gap with cooled sensors. The project focuses on advancing sensor technology by combining innovation in hardware, electronics, and intelligent data processing.
A key moment of the meeting will be a visit to Docapesca, where infrared cameras installed by INOV are currently being tested under real maritime conditions. These trials have enabled the validation of solutions in electronics, thermal sensing, optics, and advanced image processing algorithms, opening the way for industrial, environmental, and mobility applications.
Participation in BRIGHTER further strengthens INOV’s role as a reference institution in electronics and sensing technologies, consolidating its contribution to European innovation in advanced electronic components and systems.
