According to the figures from the 2025 Cyber Readiness Report by Hiscox, published by the newspaper Expresso, 54% of Portuguese SMEs experienced at least one cyberattack in the past 12 months.

The accelerated adoption of new technologies is increasing this risk: 48% report attacks linked to vulnerabilities in the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), and 24% identify AI tools/software as an entry point. Among the most common attack vectors are corporate IoT (33%), internal servers (30%), and employee devices (29%).
