The 2026 edition of the Stanford–Elsevier Top 2% Scientists List recognises four INESC INOV-Lab researchers for their scientific impact at an international level:

Developed by Stanford University in collaboration with Elsevier, this global ranking evaluates researchers through standardised bibliometric indicators, including citation counts, h-index, and a composite citation score (c-score), based on Scopus data.

The annual study presents two distinct lists: one reflecting researchers’ scientific impact throughout their careers (Career-long impact), considering citation data up to the end of 2025, and another highlighting citations received during 2025 (Single-year impact).

Published in October 2026, this edition covers 20 scientific fields and 174 subfields, providing a comprehensive overview of research impact worldwide.

A recognition that strengthens INESC INOV-Lab’s international standing and highlights the excellence and impact of its researchers’ work.
