Researcher Ana Maria Madureira, integrated researcher at INESC INOV-Lab, participated as a speaker at the 3rd Internal Medicine Conference of Trofa Saúde, held at the Trofa Saúde Gaia Grand Auditorium.

As part of the panel “Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the Practice of Medicine in Portugal,” the researcher addressed the growing role of AI technologies in supporting clinical practice. In her presentation, she highlighted the contribution of intelligent systems and data-driven tools to enhancing diagnostic accuracy, optimizing clinical processes, and promoting more personalized and efficient healthcare.

The session brought together healthcare professionals and experts to discuss the opportunities and challenges associated with the integration of AI in medicine. Ana Madureira emphasized the importance of responsible innovation, close collaboration between research and clinical practice, and alignment between technological development, healthcare needs, and ethical principles.
