Demo Digital 4.0 starts in Aveiro

Demo Digital 4.0, promoted by INOV, is already in development and the kick-off meeting took place at the facilities of INOV in Aveiro (AIDA) on 15th December.

The meeting’s objective was to present the project, its organisation and the first trimester tasks, from which are worth mentioning two presentation sessions to be held in the beginning of the year, for companies within the Aveiro region. The sessions will take place in Águeda and Oliveira de Azeméis.

The target companies of the project are industries within the scope of AIDA’s activity, therefore comprising the Centre and North regions of the country, in an effort to promote and demonstrate the possibilities of Industry 4.0 by supporting SMEs with their digital transformation process.

DemoDigital 4.0 intends to promote digitalisation of creative processes, production and client interaction supported by the growing interconnectivity of equipment, solutions and services, through the mass use of architectural concepts, and systems applications and software within the Internet of Things (IoT). This will be done in combination with advanced production technologies demonstrated in real scenarios, in relevant environments.

The project predicts engaging target companies in pilot validation, assuring that companies have a clear image of the technologies implemented and their advantages.

DemoDigital 4.0 is co-funded by the programme COMPETE 2020 will run until September 2019.
